The things to do stare me angrily in the face,
I beheld their indignant postures daring me to move.
The stiffness, unbending will of my spirit bid me know more time,
More time available to confront these fences aptly known as barriers;
‘You can take your time,’ says the pampered me.
However, time flies like the proverbial eagle that takes an exit; never to return ever.
Pole by pole in metres the days measured,
These later became months and years,
Still today; five years down the line;
Things to do are left undone.
